3rd Foor EAST BOCK

I have been to courtroom 76 and seen it in action.

There are now photos and maps under the Courtroom 76 link.

It is one of their biggest courts and when I was there was in use by a large number of people, many of whom, were disabled or elderly.

We can use the Bell Yard North DISABLED Entrance (to the East Block)

and then the

lifts to the THIRD Floor.

The best way by car/taxi is to come from Carey St (which runs behind the entrance).

There is a gate into the grounds from Carey St and from Bell Yard. Note that Bell Yard has no vehicular access from Fleet St.

By foot the best way is from Carey St or from The Strand/Fleet St up Bell Yard and the Bell Yard Gate to the North Entrance.

If not disabled and can manage stairs then there is a route from the main Strand entrance.

I have checked out the lifts and there are two at that location. Both will fit a wheelchair. There are disabled (wheelchair) loos on the same floor.

What time should I be there?

The court starts at 10.30am. However, most of the gates and entrances open at 9.30am.

Please allow time to get through security

Lunch is usually around 13:00 but once again the judge will determine that. Finish at around 16:00 - 16:30.
